North Norfolk is one of the unspoilt gems of the British countryside. Miles and miles of beaches, pretty flint cottages, country estates, traditional pubs, restaurants and friendly folk. It's ideal for romantic breaks, active family holidays and anything in between. Our cottages are scattered along the coastline, all within easy reach of the beaches, National Trust properties, golf ranges, sailing, bird or seal watching, sea fishing and a host of other things to do. So, if you need some fresh air, or fancy a gentle recharging of the batteries, North Norfolk Escapes is the place to look!

Activities: For birdwatchers, the famous reserves of Cley, Blakeney Point and Titchwell are all within easy reach. Walkers can wander Peddars Way, Weavers Way, North Norfolk Coastal Path and miles of sandy beaches. Sailors are also spoilt for choice with Blakeney Harbour, Wells-next-the-sea and the Norfolk Broads to play in. Cyclists can weave through a maze of hidden country lanes or follow the many marked cycleways. If you fancy pottering around a few historic houses on the other hand, or exploring woods and parkland, you can visit Felbrigg, Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall and other great National Trust properties in the area. Steam enthusiasts can visit the famous museum at Thursford and ride the narrow-gauge Poppy Line (Sheringham to Holt), Bure Valley Railway (Wroxham to Aylsham) and Walsingham-Wells Light Railway.
Shopping: The Georgian market town of Holt abounds with chic shops, while Sheringham and Cromer provide markets and day-to-day needs.
Travel: There is good, regular train access from the Midlands, Cambridge and London via Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham. Norwich Airport is 30 minutes away and provides frequent connections to Amsterdam and regional airports in the UK.
